
Luis F. Farago III
Luis Farago was born in Lima, Peru, and moved to the United States at age seven. After high school, he enlisted in the US Military and completed his tour after serving on the Presidential Honor Guard at Fort Myer, Virginia. In 2000, Luis entered the mortgage business as a loan officer. Two and a half years later, he became Branch Manager for Premier Mortgage in Tampa, Florida, but had bigger things in mind. Eventually, he started his own company in a cramped office in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with four loan officers. Since then, Luis has seen his company grow from $15 million to over $30 million in loans per month. Luis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. Luis currently resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife and two children.
Daniel Register
Daniel began his career as a Realtor with Re/Max in 2000 in Rockville, MD, so he knows both sides of the real estate business. In the process he has become an intuitive and creative thinker with new ways to overcome challenges in the real estate and lending markets. Since then, Daniel has become a top lender in the area. Using his skills in English, Spanish and Portuguese, he has gained the trust of both the Hispanic and Portuguese communities, striving to make sure the borrower is educated, well-informed and chooses the loan program that best suits their needs. Daniel is a student of the industry and he has become a master with a deep knowledge of credit repair, bank programs and borrower placement.
Rosa Miller
After years as a stay-at-home mother, Rosa returned to the workforce when her children reached school age. She started a home-based business where her custom accessories were distributed through Smithsonian Institution museums and several prestigious organizations and specialty shops in the DC area. Over time, her management skills grew and, in the winter of 2003, Rosa joined Luis Farago—her brother—in a new business opportunity. She has been in the mortgage business ever since. Born in Lima, Peru, she speaks both English and Spanish, skills that have helped her career greatly.
Jose Parada
Jose was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and then moved to New Jersey at age ten. Later, his family moved to Maryland and established a bakery. After working in the restaurant business for many years, Jose was looking for a change. He became a teacher where he enjoyed the personal rewards teaching can bring, but eventually it was time for another change. Five years later, Jose is still in the mortgage industry where he enjoys the camaraderie of the Empire team and turning his mortgage clients into lifelong friends.
Carlos Martinez
Carlos was born and raised in Guatemala and moved to Washington DC approximately 6 years ago. He began his career in real estate in home construction, but decided to change to the mortgage business. His family was involved in real estate in Guatemala and it seemed like a natural fit. Then, Carlos met Luis Farago and joined the Empire team. In the 2 years since, his business has expanded rapidly and he enjoys a high reputation in the industry. Carlos now oversees a team of five assistants at Empire. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys volunteering with his church.
